Morpeth was heralded as one of the best places to live in the UK by The Sunday Times Best Places To Live 2022.
Morpeth is a historic market town lying on the river Wansbeck, the towns history is celebrated in the annual Northumbrian Gathering. Morpeth combines traditional market town – with stylish highstreets and a modern shopping centre “Sandersons Arcade” and upscale bars. The Town also offers regular farmers markets every first Saturday of the month and general markets.
Morpeth offers a 3 tiered schooling system, with a range of first schools, two middle schools and King Edwards VI high school.
The town also has its own rugby team, football team and renowned golf club. I personally sponsor Morpeth football team.
Something to look forward to is the development of the new state of the art leisure centre and community hub.
The town also has a newly refurbished historical railway station providing good transport links to the North & South.
Morpeth is surrounded by many beautiful, popular villages some of which include Stannington, Ulgham, Longhorsley, Longframlington, Rothbury, Widdrington and Ellington.
